Profile

Mr. Vann advises and assists corporations and other business entities in obtaining various financial incentive packages with the State of Alabama and local governments and public authorities and tax incentives and abatements available for new industry and/or industry expansions in Alabama. Mr. Vann has worked with the individuals responsible for administering tax abatements and various other incentives at the Alabama Department of Revenue since the Tax Abatement Program started in 1991.

Mr. Vann has acted as lender’s counsel, borrower’s counsel, bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel or local counsel in financing projects throughout Alabama and the adjoining states. These transactions have included—

Industrial financing (plant, equipment, and inventory for both manufacturing and non-manufacturing facilities).
Real-estate-development financing (real estate acquisition and development, single- and multi-tenant office buildings, hotels condominiums, shopping centers, and subdivisions).
Health-care industry financing (hospitals, medical equipment, nursing homes, ambulatory patient-care facilities, and other types of medical clinics).
Educational facility financing (universities, educational building authorities, and primary and secondary schools).
Various types of credit facilities, whether for working capital, expansions or acquisitions.
Mixed financing.
