Profile
The focus of Ms. Moats’ practice is general civil litigation. In both state and Federal courts, she has experience in litigating a variety of lawsuits on behalf of private-sector businesses, public entities, and individuals—especially such professionals as doctors, dentists, nurses, nursing home personnel, attorneys, psychologists, and licensed counselors.
As part of her practice, Ms. Moats has represented a number of insurance companies in coverage disputes, frequently achieving positive results by using the tools of declaratory and summary judgments. She has also successfully appealed negative decisions to higher courts and received reversals in favor of her clients.
