George Royer and David Canupp provide CLE about legal issues facing city and county governments
On May 6, 2017, George Royer and David Canupp participated in a continuing legal education (CLE) program about legal issues facing city and county governments. Mr. Royer will provided an update on governmental immunity and Mr. Canupp will provide an update about employment law.
Other topics included public finance, open meetings, duties of mayors and city councils, cell-phone towers, rights of way, road closures, open records, and document retention. The program was sponsored by CLE Alabama.
Mr. Royer and Mr. Cunupp regularly represents municipalities, county commissions, law enforcement, and other city and county officials in a variety of civil litigation involving civil rights, zoning, employment law, employee discipline, personal injury, wrongful death, taxation, and public-building access in compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act.
