David Canupp speaks at NASHRM meeting

Just in time for Halloween, David Canupp delivered a “scary” presentation to the North Alabama Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (NASHRM) on October 29, 2020.
His presentation—Tales from an Employment Lawyer—addressed the following, among other topics:
- Ramifications of the recent decision of the U.S. Supreme Court that added three new protected classes to employment discrimination law.
- Recent million-dollar jury verdicts or lawsuit settlements that should “scare” management and human resources personnel into implementing preventative programs against discrimination.
- Why COVID-19 has caused an “open season” on employers.
