Lauren Smith becomes board member of the Catalyst

Lanier Ford is excited to announce that its President, Lauren Smith, has recently joined the board of directors for the Catalyst Center for Business & Entrepreneurship, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting economic growth in north Alabama. The Catalyst was founded in 2003 as the Women’s Business Center of North Alabama and officially re-branded in 2017 to illustrate its dedication to its many clients—who span all races, genders, and socioeconomic classes. Ms. Smith will use her experience working with small- and medium-sized businesses to support the Catalyst’s important mission throughout our community.

Ms. Smith joins two other new members of the board:  Melanie Newton of Tripoint Solutions and Jeff Showalter of JHNA, Inc.  “I’m so excited to serve with Lauren, Jeff, and Melanie and am excited to see their impact to our organization this year,” said Leigh Arnold Christian, vice chair of the board of directors and owner of Plans to Prosper Consulting.  “I love that the Catalyst is able to have such strong connected board members who are donating so much of their time to make a real impact on the north Alabama community.”
