Nathan C. Hill

Mr. Hill’s practice spans a broad range of civil litigation and business matters. He
represents individuals, businesses, and governmental entities in probate and trust
litigation, will contests, business and contract disputes, real estate disputes,
construction disputes, insurance defense, and claims involving municipalities and other
governmental entities. Nathan also advises businesses and other organizations on
commercial and operational matters and serves as general counsel to various entities.

Nathan has substantial litigation experience in state courts throughout Alabama. He has
served as lead counsel in numerous jury and bench trials and has handled litigation
duties in hundreds of lawsuits. His experience includes all phases of litigation, including
case evaluation and strategy, pleadings, discovery, depositions, dispositive motions,
hearings, trial preparation, trial, post-judgment proceedings, and appeals. He also has
experience handling appeals before the Alabama Supreme Court.

A significant part of Nathan’s practice involves probate, estate, and trust disputes. He
represents clients in will contests, trust litigation, guardianship and conservatorship
proceedings, and other disputes involving estates, fiduciaries, estate-planning
documents, and the ownership or disposition of property.

Nathan also represents businesses and individuals in a variety of commercial matters,
including contract disputes, shareholder disputes, fraud claims, collections, real estate
disputes, homeowners association matters, and other disputes arising from business                            relationships and transactions. In addition to litigation, he advises businesses and                                            other entities regarding legal issues arising in their operations.

Nathan has significant experience representing municipalities and other governmental
entities throughout North Alabama. His work includes defending tort and other civil
claims brought against local governments and their officials and employees.

A lifelong native of the Tennessee Valley, Nathan grew up in Meridianville and
graduated from Hazel Green High School. He earned his undergraduate degree from
Troy University, where he was a pitcher for the Troy Trojans baseball team. While at
Troy, Nathan earned All-Conference honors, set the school’s single-season record for
appearances, and contributed to multiple conference championship teams.

Nathan was selected as a member of Class 19 of the Alabama State Bar Leadership
Forum, a statewide leadership-development program for attorneys who have
demonstrated leadership qualities and a commitment to the legal profession and their
communities.

Nathan lives in Meridianville with his wife, Melissa, and their three daughters, Mia,
Evelyn, and Rosalee.
