Katie A. Beasley

Katie focuses her practice on real estate, representing clients in a broad range of commercial, residential, and economic development matters. She has worked with the City of Huntsville and the Industrial Development Board of the City of Huntsville on significant economic development projects involving entertainment venues, manufacturing facilities, and commercial developments that have created jobs and contributed to economic growth throughout North Alabama. She also represents private industries in economic development matters, assisting clients with real estate and development issues related to new facilities, expansions, economic development incentives, and other business investments.

Her practice includes extensive experience in commercial and residential real estate development, zoning and land use, utilities and infrastructure, easements, commercial leasing, and commercial real estate transactions. Her infrastructure work includes road and sewer projects, as well as the negotiation, drafting, and acquisition of easements and other property rights necessary for public and private development. Katie advises property owners, developers, businesses, and other clients throughout all stages of the development and transactional process, from drafting and negotiating transaction documents through closing. She also regularly represents landlords and business tenants in the drafting, negotiation, and review of commercial leases.

In addition to her transactional and development practice, Katie handles eminent domain matters in the probate courts of Madison and Limestone Counties. She has represented the City of Huntsville, Madison County, and Limestone County in appeals of eminent domain cases to Alabama circuit courts.

Katie is actively involved in the local community. She currently serves on the boards of the Huntsville-Madison County Railroad Authority and Susanna Wesley Early Education Ministry and is a former board member of the Land Trust of North Alabama. She has also served on the Executive Committee of the Young Lawyers Section of the Alabama State Bar and the Young Lawyers Board of the Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association and has volunteered as a youth basketball coach.

Outside of her practice, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. An avid reader and music lover, she enjoys reading, attending concerts, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.

She loves watching sports, especially Auburn basketball and football, and attending live sporting events, but her favorite moments are those spent on the sidelines cheering on her children.
